“Dawn was breaking, like the light from another world.”
― Alfred Jarry
It’s taken me ten whole months to post, but here we are.
Ten months ago, I was dancing a dance I didn’t know the steps to: between light and darkness, but mostly darkness. Chaos of my mind.
I found my way through. As if a sickness has lifted, I am renewed; awake; inspired and in awe of all this world once more. I feel like me again.
And now, it’s as though it’s the dawn of a new day.
“You’ll have bad times, but it’ll always wake you up to the good stuff you weren’t paying attention to.” – Robin Williams, Rest in Peace.
If I could do anything at all today, I would say this…
It is challenging to hear Robin Williams’s death is a suspected suicide. Look at how much everyone loved him and admired his thoughts and his comedy. We can hardly believe it.
I want to remind anyone feeling overwhelmed that you too impact other people’s lives in very meaningful ways, and as much as I loved Robin Williams, you touch the people around you even more deeply.
Seeking help is up there with the best things I have done with my life and I did it only this year. There was more harm in me going on feeling stuck, than reaching out to someone I thought could never help. A counsellor changed my year and even my life and I will always be grateful.
We all have pressures in our lives and it’s difficult to find comfort. Don’t be afraid to call Lifeline on 13 11 14, beyondblue on 1300 22 4636 or The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline on 1-800-273-8255 if you’re feeling overwhelmed. Reach out to a counsellor. Tell someone you trust.
I know everyone tries to “deal” alone, but you’re not alone. R U OKAY?
Please like, share and spread the love. #carpediem

“This magical, marvelous food on our plate, this sustenance we absorb, has a story to tell. It has a journey. It leaves a footprint. It leaves a legacy. To eat with reckless abandon, without conscience, without knowledge; folks, this ain’t normal.”
– Joel Salatin
“Nature shrinks as capital grows. The growth of the market cannot solve the very crisis it creates.” – Vandana Shiva
If you looked into my brain you’d probably see most of it lighting up for food. I admit, I’m a small-scale food advocate. Not for all foods. Gimme fresh, local produce from the farmers. Homegrown. Wholefoods. Organic. Bring it! Today’s a day for global change. Spread the word & cook up some storms! Happy Food Revolution Day (Food Revolution Community)!! ‘Nom’aste.
